I’ve been meaning to scan this for a while and only just got around to it. It’s a portrait from the absolute last minute of shooting before folio presentation. Unfortunately it’s a terrible scan and hasn’t come up too well, maybe just imagine it with a few layers of awesome added. I don’t really like the way it’s come up but still wanted to share, I do really like the transparency though. Thanks to Alessandro for the modelling.
From memory it was shot on Velvia 400 at f2.8.
Here’s a bit of a brief guide for creating a new post. It’s not too difficult but adding in pictures can be easy to miss. Bear in mind that yours might be a little different from mine but it’s the same basic ideas.
So click on new post up in the top left-hand corner:
Give your post a title.
In the bar where all the font options are is an option titled ‘add media’, the first picture is to add a photo.
Select which image you want to upload, give it a title and then select ‘insert into post’.
You can add in text around the image if you like.
You can add tags if you like but I can take care of that if you don’t.
Once it’s all completed you can save the post and preview it.
Of course the most important step is to publish your post.
Hope this helps.
Ok first post comes from Alessandro:
Any thoughts? All I can say is that’s it’s better than mine (which will never see the light of day). I think it’s a nice shot though.
PS: Anyone who wants to make their own post feel free. Just set yourself up with a WordPress account (by clicking ‘log in’ down below and then creating an account) after you’ve done that just email me the details and I’ll add you as an author.
This is a blog designed for students currently studying BA (Photography) at RMIT in Melbourne. This has been set up for the 2008 intake year but we’d love to have everyone get involved.
It’s here so we can share images as well as seek advice, criticism and comments.
Eventually we’ll get anyone who wants to be set up as an author so you can get your photos and ideas out there. Just set yourself up with a WordPress account (by clicking ‘log in’ down below and then creating an account) after you’ve done that just email me the details and I’ll add you as an author.
Callum.
